Free Seminar on business opportunities in Peru on Nov. 13

The Lee County Economic Development Office, a supporting partner of Enterprise Florida and their export trade mission to Peru organizes a free seminar on November 13 on trade opportunities in Peru supported by the Economic Development Office. Enterprise Florida, Inc. (EFI) is a public-private partnership between Florida’s business and government leaders and is the principal economic development organization for the state of Florida. EFI is in charge to develop and spread the state’s economy through job creation. In pursuit of its mission, EFI works closely with a statewide network of economic development partners and is funded both by the State of Florida and by private-sector businesses. The Lee County Economic Development Office offers numerous resources for businesses considering relocation and site selectors, in addition to incentives, including statistical data, demographic information, custom property locator tools and other research. More than $2.8 billion in Florida products were exported to Peru last year, and Peruvian imports totaled $2.6 billion. Peru is currently Florida’s eighth largest trading partner and forecasts for the market remain strong. Local business owners are invigorated to join Enterprise Florida and their trade partners from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13 at the Airport Training and Conference Center for the free seminar on business opportunities in Peru. Rebecca Armand, Senior Commercial Officer of the Tampa Bay Export Assistance Center will be the guest speaker for the event. Attendees will have the chance to learn more about the economic, political and social environment of Peru, available export opportunities, and how to participate in the export development trade mission.
